Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is She's Got Game?
She’s Got Game is a girls-only multi-sport and mentorship program designed to build confidence, community, and life skills through sport. Each week combines active games, skill development, and guided mentoring with our trained “Big Sis” mentors.
Who is the program for?
Girls in Years 2–5 (ages 8–12) who want to have fun, try different sports, and be part of a supportive group. No prior sports experience is required—just a willingness to join in!
How long is each session?
Each session runs for 90 minutes after school. The program includes warm-up games, sport skills, team challenges, and a mentor-led reflection activity.
How long does the program run?
Our pilot program runs for 8 weeks in Term 4. Each week focuses on a new sport and a new confidence theme, leading up to a fun “Challenge Day” festival in the final week.
Where does it take place?
Sessions are held at Phoenix Park (Malvern East). This venue gives us great access to indoor and outdoor spaces, so the program can run rain, hail, or shine.
Who are the mentors?
Our “Big Sis” mentors are inspiring young women—senior school students and athletes—who act as role models. All mentors are trained in child-safe standards and are supervised by program leaders (qualified teachers/coaches).
Is She's Got Game safe?
Yes. The program is fully insured, child-safe compliant, and run by a VIT-registered teacher. We maintain a low participant-to-mentor ratio to ensure each girl is supported.
How much does it cost?
The pilot program is $200 for the full 8-week term (equivalent to $25 per session). This includes all sports equipment, mentor guidance, and end-of-term festival activities.
What should my child bring?
Comfortable sports clothes, runners, a water bottle, and a big smile! All equipment is provided.
What if my daughter can’t make every session?
No problem! While we encourage consistent attendance, we understand schedules are busy. The program is still valuable even if a session is missed.
How do I sign up?
You can register and pay securely through our online sign-up form (linked on our homepage and flyers). Spots are limited, so we recommend registering early.
